Qualifications
- Run on a joint ticket
- Submit a joint Declaration of Candidacy by February 8, 2026 by midnight
- Have and maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA
- Be a full-time student at UNA
- Be a junior, senior, or graduate student in the fall semester after the office is assumed
- Have completed at least one (1) previous semester in SGA Senate (not including Freshman Forum or Judicial branch)
- Must attend the Official Debate
- Submit a Declaration of Candidacy by February 8, 2026 by midnight
- Have and maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA
- Be a full-time student at UNA
- Be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in the fall semester after the office is assumed
- Have completed at least one (1) previous semester in SGA Senate (not including Freshman Forum or Judicial branch)
- Must attend the Official Debate
- Submit a Declaration of Candidacy by February 8, 2026 by midnight
- Have and maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA

- Include verification of their enrollment in a specific college or verification of intent to enter into a specific college in their Declaration of Candidacy

Frequently Asked Questions
- Submit the application/Declaration of Candidacy by February 8, 2026.
- Attend the mandatory candidate meeting on February 4, 2025 @ 4 pm in the SGA Chambers.
- Start campaigning. Campaigning begins February 9, 2026.
For Current students with access to Self-Service:
- Log In to your UNA Portal Account to access Self-Service
- In the Student Records box in Portal choose Student Profile
- Choose the Academic Transcript button on the left side of the Student Profile page
- Choose the correct transcript level desired (Undergraduate, Graduate, or All Levels), then select Unofficial as the transcript type
- Press the Print Button on the right-hand side of the page to either download or print the unofficial transcript
Students will vote online. Ballots will be sent to students' UNA email accounts beginning Monday, March 9, 2026.
If applicable, a runoff election will begin on Monday, March 16, 2026. Ballots will be sent to students' UNA email accounts.
For President-Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer candidates, the Elections and Recruitment Chair will ask a series of more specific questions pertaining to the respective positions.
For Senator seats, all colleges are separated into their specific college. The Elections and Recruitment Chair will ask numerous questions to all candidates seeking Senate seats. The questions could range from "Why do you want to join SGA?" to "What are the different committees in SGA?"
