Welcome to Kilby's Parent Teacher Organization Webpage!
The Kilby PTO is dedicated to maintaining an atmosphere of communication, cooperation, trust and support among the parents, teachers and staff of Kilby Laboratory School all while supporting the mission and values of the University of North Alabama. The PTO will provide service, social, and fund-raising activities that support Kilby and its goals for the students’ academic, physical and social well-being.

Official PTO Membership dues are $20/household annually. These are typically paid at the 1st general PTO meeting of the school year. The 2026-2027 PTO Membership Form will be live soon.
These can be paid by cash or check (made to Kilby PTO); sent in an envelope to the office, labeled "Kilby PTO-Membership Due" with your name. Or, PayPal to kilbyPTO@una.edu with "Membership-Name" in notes.
Official “due-paying” members will qualify for the following privileges:
- The rights to vote at all General PTO meetings on matters including, but not limited to, the election of officers, the approval of the annual PTO budget and amendments made to these Constitution and Bylaws.
- The right to hold office as an Officer, a member of the Executive Committee, a member of the Nominating Committee, or Chair of any Standing Committee.
- A discount on any item awarded a discount by the PTO Executive Committee. Discounted items may include, but not limited to, spirit wear, year books, dinners or entrance to special events. Items awarded with discounts may vary from year to year.

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK (Typically held in April/May)
Kilby PTO supports and appreciates our teachers! Each year we sponsor several meals for teachers at Kilby School and always need parents help and support.

Kilby PTO sponsors a fun and wild "end of year" school event each year in May!
Fun Day 2027 is May 27th!
Kilby PTO designs and coordinates orders for Kilby apparel in the beginning of each school year. Orders typically arrive in time for Homecoming parade.
Order form will be live soon! Orders due September 16!
Every year, Kilby participates in the UNA Homecoming Parade and Spirit Week!
UNA Homecoming will be October 24th, 2026!!
Fall Festival is a fun, family event sponsored by the PTO each year in October!
Fall Festival will be held on October 29. More information to come.

Fundraising
Kilby PTO hosts a number of opportunities to raise funds to support most events posted on our page and for greater needs for Kilby! Our annual Kilby Cub Dash is our most successful fundraising event; but we love to offer other opportunities such as Skate Nights, restaurant Kilby Family Nights, and other traditional fundraisers where everyone can get involved!
We will post fundraiser opportunities here when they are planned!
